Our Sole aim is to provide a service that our customers can completely rely on to deliver their construction, building and refurbishment needs, from full project management as the principal contractor to elements of sub-contracted works.

OUR STORY

APF Projects was formed in 2011 and operates from Wokingham so is ideally located to serve the southeast of the UK. It was formed based on the relationships and expertise of its directors and experience with associated companies, initially focusing on the pharmaceutical market, but now operating in the Commercial, Industrial and Residential sectors. It has established many long-standing relationships, resulting in an ever-growing client base. The wealth of experience of its employees is considerable and APF Projects has established a wide variety of skills and abilities that allow it to undertake projects in many markets. 

Shortly after formation, the relationships established led to repeat maintenance work such as flooring, groundwork, concreting, painting & decorating. This soon developed into a much wider range of services which have been maintained until the present day and APF Projects now takes on many different projects because of the diversity of abilities and knowledge it possesses. 

The project management skills that have been developed have enabled the company to combine its resources and capabilities with other specialist sub-contractors, which allow the smooth running of projects. APF Projects has grown year by year and now employs a multi-skilled workforce, with the ability to project manage large projects, yet is small enough to offer tailor-made services that genuinely satisfy every client’s differing requirements.

However, we are often asked certain questions similar to those below and so we have attempted to answer these to establish a bit more clarity.

We are fully covered for all contract works with the following indemnities;

  • Public Liability Insurance: £10,000,000
  • Employer’s Liability Insurance: £10,000,000
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance: £1,000,000

Yes, we have many years experience working as a principal contractor and understand the compliance processes that are required to deliver a safe and successful project.

Yes, we often undertake work out of normal office hours and at weekends if our clients require it. We are happy to work with you to find a solution to get your project completed on time.

Training is regularly reviewed to establish the needs of the company, our clients and the environment that we trade-in. The nature of the work undertaken usually results in significant investment here so all employees, both management and operatives, receive various relevant external and internal training to ensure they continue to work in a safe way and produce the quality that the company demands.

Yes. To complement our direct labour with the additional expertise required to deliver a contract, we have developed good relationships with many sub-contractors. New sub-contractors are vetted and managed to ensure they achieve the levels of quality that we require.

We carry out works in the South East of England. However, for the right project, we consider projects UK wide and have carried out many projects all over the country. Our head office is located in Wokingham which is also the base of operations.

Our workforce members hold CSCS cards appropriate to their level of qualifications. We invest heavily in training and personal development to support this.

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT & QUALITY AT APF PROJECTS

At APF Projects, Health & Safety is fundamental to how jobs and projects are planned and carried out. We are committed to providing a safe working environment for all our employees and anyone affected by our works, as stated in our policies. We invest considerable amounts of time and money into training to ensure each employee is sufficiently competent. This reduces the potential for accidents & injuries and generally improves good practice. 

We are conscious of our social responsibility to the environment we work in and endeavour to do all we can to minimise the impact our work has on our surroundings. To underline our commitment to these important aspects of our trade, we have a number of policies to control how we work as a company and guide the culture of the workforce to be safe, to have a minimum impact on the environment and to produce a consistent high quality of work.

All construction work is subject to the “Construction Design and Management 2015 Regulations”. All works are assessed for all risks and hazards before any works start, Risk Assessments and Method Statements are produced for all works.
